Far superior to the traditional nylon mesh pop filters
Easily cleans with soap and water to sterilize
Sturdy ALL METAL Construction
Description
Pop filters should probably be called spit filters because in addition to keeping out those nasty "plosive" sounds like....like "T" , "K" , "P" etc....when recording voice overs or singing they also keep - well -spit off the microphone's expensive gold-sputtered capsule and as you can imagine, moisture and sensitive electronics don't play well together.
The Avantone Pro-Shield has an easily attached flexible mounting and the arch shaped curving design mirrors the grill shape of studio mics. The Pro-Shield doesn't sit out in front of the mic, instead it hugs the microphone like it was custom-made for it. The Pro-Shield looks and works as well on a vintage Neumann U-47 as it does on the brand-new MXL VO: 1-A. Best-of-all there's simply no perceived loss in hi-frequency sounds and the price is right!!
