5Simple, convenient and effective.  Aug 11, 2010 By A. Fortier
This phone patch/coupler/interface device draws in audio from any analog telephone line and puts out nice clean line level audio for use with digital or analog pro audio mixing/recording equipment or even a laptop's mic in!

I can't find anything wrong with it other than the pickup pop sound when you hook the line by pressing the call button, but best mixing practice is to have the volume on your board down before you activate the device and bring up the caller's sound gradually. I especially like this box's rock-solid thick metal construction. It feels as if it could survive a fire, probably not but it's a tough box.

We've used it for quite a few interviews and in my opinion, it really does have that professional sound without any of that that digital noise from some of the more expensive phone interfaces. The adjustment allows you to balance your end with the caller's end so that one isn't louder than the other. Out of all the other equipment I've used this just works without needless last minute technical difficulties.

Bought this item to create a paging option for our company telephone system. It did not work correctly at first so I contacted the manufacturer. They were very helpful in proving a solution to my problem. After 2 minutes of soldering and replacing a resister the item works great.
