Happy customer Aug 04, 2010 Very happy with this product. The musical stand is sturdy and I would definitely recommend buying one.
Music Stand Jul 25, 2010 Ordered this for my son who plays the trumpet in school band. Very sturdy and nice wide ledge to place music on. Music won't fall off. Highly recommend.
It's a music stand Jul 24, 2010 It's a music stand, don't have much else to say. I don't have a LOT of experience with them, but this ones seems sturdy and was really easy to put together. The quality is very good it seems, very solid material.
Manhasset stand does the job Jun 28, 2010 One of my pet peevess with music stands when I travel a lot are that they are too heavy or too wimpy and light. The light ones are easy to tip over when you have a large amount of music or books. In one show, I had the whole stand fall off the stage.
This stand answers all the needs for me. It's light, but sturdy enough for a large book.
It can be adjusted easily. It's possible that the raising and lowering clutch will eventually fail to hold, I haven't had any evidence of this yet and feel that this is an unnecessary worry.
Pretty good stand for the money. Jun 26, 2010 The stand is sturdy, stable, and well made.
Assembly was very easy and clear instructions were provided.
It is almost all metal but the bracket that connects tray to the column is plastic. Hopefully it will last, though. It does seem like pretty sturdy plastic.
The outside of the column was greasy, and the music tray also had spots of grease. It got my hands greasy when I assembled it and I had to clean it with solvent. The manufacturer's instructions provided no guidance on what solvent to use to cut the grease without damaging the paint. Why should I even have had to clean it myself, though? When I buy something brand new I expect it to be clean and ready to use.
I'm using it on a carpeted floor but the base would scratch a nice wood or tile floor, so I pretty much have to use it on a carpeted floor unless I buy floor protectors as an accessory. But why should that be a separate accessory to buy? Why not make it ready to use on any floor by default?
I would have given it five stars except for the grease I had to clean off it and not being able to use it on a wood floor without making a separate purchase of floor protectors.
