Great quality vocal recordings Jun 30, 2008
I am an e-Learning developer. I banged my head against the wall for days trying to figure out a way to record professional quality audio outside a studio setting. I don't know how I found Harlan Hogan's Porta-Booth page, but I remember it was around 2am. I followed the directions Harlan described to create my own Porta-Booth, and my problems were solved. Now that you can get all the components together, it's even better.
Everyone that sees or uses the Porta-Booth has been blown away by the simplicity of Harlan's solution. What a fantastic product for the e-Learning community. Thank you!

Amazing Sound Apr 30, 2008
To tell you the truth I was a little skeptical about the Porta Studio. I have always had a great studio with wonderful gear, super mics, etc. My recording space is has never been tuned or set up as acoustically perfect. While I've recorded professionally both music and VO, I've never been able to get "the sound". I've even taken my gear to other studios and low and behold with basically the same settings and mics, things sounded incredible. I read about the Porta Studio and thought I'd give it a shot. Well, holy #$%^!!! All of the sudden,without even cutting the hole in the back for the shot gun mic, I got "the sound". You guys are brilliant. Thank you so much! Tight, crisp, awesome sound. I can now compete.Geoff
