Great companion to voiceover artists Feb 21, 2011

This is a great book, covering just about every angle for someone getting into the voiceover industry. Terri speaks like someone who has gotten in to voiceovers and navigated her way through the agent process, the industry, and transforming one self into the best artist they can be in this arena. She even covers how to approach different reads, acting levels, and professions; having finished the book, it now sits at my side as a companion with valuable lessons I can recall at any time.
Finally, as a read, Terri is nothing if not inspirational. In addition to all her insights, she interviews several industry professionals, covering voiceover work from various angles so the reader gets multiple perspectives on voice artistry, recordings, and a career. Well done, Terri.

An Encyclopedia of Voiceover Craft and Business Feb 21, 2011

Terri Apple's "Voiceovers" is so full, so complete that it serves as a kind of encyclopedia of the art, craft, and business of performing in the sound booth. The book is as important to current performers as it is to novices. I am particularly impressed with the massive amount of references and resources Apple includes in her tome. Although I've read other voiceover books, this is the one I will keep and use for guidance, practice, support and reference.
